DONATIONS – Dreamtime Ranch Disc Golf Course is 100% donation supported. The customary donation is $20 per-player. All donations, pro-shop transactions* and any other expenditures are CASH only please. Part of the beauty of Dreamtime Ranch is that we are off the grid. This also means that we are not able to process your donations through electronic means. All donations go into improvements to the facilities. In addition to the 21 brand new MVP Black Hole Portal baskets that have been installed, we plan to add a picnic shelter, improved Tee Pads & a shelter on the back side of the course. We will be adding a Pro Shop for the 2018 season. We also plan to upgrade our existing guest cabin and add later we will add another cabin for guests that will have a kitchenette and a shower & bath.
TIME ALLOTMENT – You should plan on around 2 ½ hours to play the entire course at a standard pace. Remember that the larger the group the longer the round will take. Because the course is all yours for the day you will have time to play multiple rounds, take breaks when and where you want and enjoy being on “mountain time” to whatever extent you wish. Plan on a full day of fun when you account for drive time, disc golf, lunch and anything you want to do in the surrounding area. Southpark Brewing in Fairplay is a great place to have some cold, delicious pints after a long day and they offer tasty food as well. They are about 30 minutes from the ranch. It is a good idea to bring plenty of water, electrolyte drinks, sunscreen, lunch, and snacks.
FLORA & FAUNA – South Park is a beautiful place, but it is also a place where plants and animals have to work hard to survive. Please watch where you are walking on the course, and be careful not to step on the wildflowers, saplings, delicate grasses or cacti. Also please bear in mind that this is cattle ranching country. You will likely see livestock and wild game. The wild game was here first and livestock is the livelihood of local ranchers, so please give them their space.
DOGS – We are dog lovers and we welcome all friendly and well behaved dogs. If they are prone to tussle with other dogs or go after livestock, please leave them at home! You can expect to meet our dogs and they will be deliriously happy to meet you. If you bring a dog that causes damage, injury, chaos or attacks any person, place or thing at Dreamtime Ranch you will be responsible for all expenses associated with the damage and/or injury caused by your dog.
LOST & FOUND – Nothing is lost forever…a beautiful sentiment, and at Dreamtime Ranch we embrace it. If you find anything on the course, (including: sunglasses, wallets, cash, discs, towels, money, hats, cameras, water bottles, etc.) it is not yours. If you did not bring it…it does not belong to you. Please return it to the found items bin and we will make sure it gets to it’s rightful owner. We will also walk the course from time to time and do our best to find any lost items so we can return them to their owner.
SMOKING – There is ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING on the course. Smoking is only allowed at the fire pit where there are buckets of damp sand to put your butts in, or in your car. However, butts need to be properly disposed of and NEVER DROPPED on the ground or tossed out of your car. The high country can be prone to extreme fire danger and it is worth noting that the financial repercussions of starting a forest fire can be devastating. No one wants to risk that and potentially causing harm or loss of human life. It is always better safe than sorry. If you are seen with any open flame on the course you will be asked to leave. If you are not able to go 2 hours without a cigarette I suggest you invest in a vape pen. We will have some available in the pro shop. 420 – Smoking is smoking. Same rules apply.
CELL PHONES – We strongly suggest that you let loved ones know how long you plan to be playing in the mountains so that they don’t worry. There is no cell phone service on the east side of the ranch. If you need to check in with friends or family we have had the best luck getting a signal on the west side of the course. The 12th Tee Pad is a great place to try, as is the top of the hill at Sunset Lookout. However, at this time we cannot guarantee reliable service so please let loved ones know that you will be off grid for a while. There is service in Fairplay and in Hartsel.
SHOES – Please wear the right shoes; this means your best hiking boots, not flip flops or skate shoes. If in doubt bring more than one pair. This course is not as difficult to hike as some of the mountain courses of Colorado, but it is certainly something that you want to have the right equipment for.
LITTERING – We have provided trash receptacles near the bunkhouse on every Tee Pad that is divisible by 3. The high country can get windy so please make sure that all of the cans, bottles and trash are deposited in the trash cans provided.
VANDALISM – There will be no breaking live tree branches, destructive behavior, dangerous horseplay, moving baskets or anything else. Please don’t ink, sharpie, or “tag” anything (ace or not), e.g. benches, baskets, trees, etc.
PROPER CONDUCT – Please conduct yourself in a respectable, responsible manner while on our property. Mistreatment of the course and/or land could result in the closure of the course. I want you all to have a great time while behaving yourself. I thank you in advance for your well-mannered behavior during your visit.
THANK YOU – Some of you might have played the course that we owned previously: Eagle Vista DGC in Pine, Colorado. This course was located between Phantom Falls DGC and The Bucksnort DGC. Our sincere thanks go to Paulie, Lowell & Linda for being amazing neighbors and friends. Also a big thank you to another wonderful group of people: The Foothill Flyers. We appreciate all of your support and we are looking forward to having all of you join us for tags at our new course. Dreamtime Ranch is the next stage in our “dream” of sharing the beauty and magic of the mountains of Colorado with our friends and guests. Our land has accommodations that we could not be able to offer on our previous course. We currently have a rustic cabin with bunkbeds and a loft, restroom with flush toilet and running water, horseshoe pit, as well as outdoor kitchen and dining areas. In the future we plan on adding an additional cabin that will have a kitchenette, shower bath, and large bedroom. We are also planning to add a covered shelter area. We are so excited to share good times with friends old and new. We look forward to seeing you!
TEE PADS – For our opening season of 2017 only the White Tee pads will all be completed. There will be some Red and Blue pads installed for our inaugural season, however we will prioritize the Reds first and then the Blues so that less advanced players can enjoy the course. If this is a concern please contact us and I will be happy to provide additional information.
REVIEWS – It would mean a lot to us if you would be willing to post a review to your favorite DG sites when you return home. This helps us in two ways: it gives us feedback about your experience so that we can do the best possible job of making sure everyone has an amazing time when they are here, and it provides us with highly valuable online exposure. More reviews mean more people know about us, which in turn allows us to continue to improve the course and amenities.
