Things to Know:

Please bring your own bedding. A quality sleeping bag that can handle cold temperatures is highly recommended as well as a wool blanket for extra warmth. Dream Time Ranch is located at 9420ft elevation and nights can get pretty chilly even in the Summer!

Tall Tails and Smiling Dog cabins  have infrared Wave 8 heaters that run off propane and are enough to take the edge off, but you will still need proper bedding to keep you cozy. There is a porta-jon available as well as an outdoor shower/shelter to hang your solar camp shower after a long day of fun in the sun. Bring plenty of water for cooking, cleaning and showering.

There are outdoor cooking appliances available for your use including a propane grill and a  2 burner propane outfitters stove. We are not providing cooking utensils or cookware. We will provide the propane. There is also a 2 bin sink to assist with your cleanup (you provide the water).

Please pack in and pack out! This is very important to avoid issues with critters and it helps us be able to maintain cleanliness around camp. If you absolutely are unable to pack out your recyclables and trash, there are recycling/garbage cans located in the caged area on the North side of the camp. Please only dispose of items that wont attract bears. If it’s a food container etc. you really should take it with you. Thank you for helping us keep our camp clean!

There is a fire pit/hang out area in the center of camp. Fires are only allowed if there are no current fire bans/restrictions. You can call (719) 836-5000 to reach the Park County Fire Protection District. We are in District 7/Hartsel. It is a really big deal to have a fire during a burn ban. The most recent fine amount was $5000 for an individual and more than 6 months in prison. Also, if a campfire results in a wildfire the person who caused the fire can be held responsible for the suppression costs of fighting the fire. We can’t stress this enough! Please bring your own fire wood. No breaking of live branches or cutting down trees. Smoking is only permitted over the gravel area near the fire pit. Please be respectful and use common sense when it comes to fires/smoking. All fires must be thoroughly extinguished after use. We purchased a fire ring with adjustable grill for campfires. You are welcome to cook over that open fire, but remember to bring up your own wood and that if you are cooking over the open fire that the wood is untreated.

We suggest a maximum of 3 Adults per cabin (number of kids is up to you). There is no maximum group size for course day use. Course donation is not included in cabin donation.
